Teaching English, Ecuador

Due to a lack in financial and human resources provided by the governmental authorities and local schools, the education in certain parts of Ecuador is very poor and therefore many socio-economic disadvantages students face learning difficulties. The aim of this project is to provide education to children's ages range from 5 to 13 years old and cover the lacking of teachers in rural and urban public primary schools. Teaching volunteers are more than welcome to participate in our schools in wide range of educational and professional backgrounds including English, math, music, manual arts, gymnastics and sports among other academic areas.

Our schools welcome any volunteer who has a desire to share educational knowledge with students who are eager to learn. Our efforts are geared toward underserved populations who do not receive proper educational support and are therefore relegated to an unending cycle of poverty. Therefore, our teaching project is for those volunteers who are interested in working with underprivileged but energetic children teaching basic English and other subjects and extra curricular activities. Volunteers will collaborate as teachers’ assistants working side by side with Ecuadorian teachers, although in certain times they will be working as the principal teachers.
